The BAE was located
at "Space Edge" in Shibuya , district of Tokyo. "space
Edge" is a block behind and few blocks down over from Shibuya
station, the center of youth culture in tokyo. Shibuya is said
to have more 2 story video advertising screens than anywhere in
the world. Kind of like New York's "Times Square" except
a little crazier. Check out pics in the "Tourist" photos.
Myself, Amber,
Paul, and the great group of people that made BAE possible.
It was very interesting
to meet the many Japanese artists tht were selling their work.
I had the pleasure of seeing a few of their demos as well as doing
a collaboration demo with Gen of "Shanti" glassworks.
I had a great
time vending next to / chatting with Amber Pelligrini and Paul.
Amber taught a series of workshops at Lunar Cycle after the BAE
and I have no doubt that they went well.
There were a few
american artists there as well. But, being totlly engrossed in
the everything Japanese at the event I somehow failed to get any
photos of them.
Josh Sable, John
Kobuki, Filip Vogelpohl, and Keith Bryan
Can't wait to
see the DVD that will feature the demonstrations as well as the
event.
I met a bunch
of great people
Amber and her work
A bunch of excellent
people from Osaka
